Doug has lived in Southeastern Massachusetts most  of his life, but had his guitar and music theory beginnings in Fredericksburg, VA in the late 1970s. There, he studied folk, jazz and a bit of classical guitar. Growing up, his influences were Neil Young, Bonnie Raitt  and Yes. After his first career as a chef and second as computer programmer, he now works as a graphic artist for a Back Bay advertising agency. 

He's enjoying arranging songs on his '78 Yamaha, Martin cutaway and Taylor 12-string and experimenting with some new non-standard tunings.
